About
He is interested in writing he deems to be 'good' music, but also interested in manipulating technology in both performance and composition to create good music. He finds that too often are composers restricted to genre rather than being able to create their own style.
Michael draws his inspiration from many visual art, new music and the works of John Adams, Andrew Lovett, Khachaturian, Tippett, Aphex Twin and Penderecki.
Michael has studied orchestration with Stephen Montague and composition with Andrew Poppy, Andrew Lovett and Stephen Montague. At Mill Hill he composed under the eye of Richard Allain whose music continues to inspire Michael to this day.
Presently Michael is a London based freelance composer and works in the technology industry.
